Start Selling on eBay - Decluttering and Making Money!

In trying to prepare for a baby coming here in a little over 3 months, I decided I am going to try to get rid of a ton of clothes and extra things around my house to make some extra cash. I had toyed with eBay when I was younger, making listings for my not-so-tech-savvy aunt to sell her ski gear and some designer purses, so I am not necessarily discovering eBay for the first time, but for the first time I am taking it seriously.

I started a little over 3 weeks ago creating a seller account (I'd been a buyer for a couple of years already) and sold a few makeup items I had gotten for next to nothing by couponing. It was AWESOME to see my cabinet with some more space and some money flowing into my PayPal account! I'm now moving onto clothing, I just started listing this week. I have a couple of clothing items that have been bid upon that will end Sunday, how exciting!

In addition to decluttering and getting rid of my own old clothes laying around, I've also made some purchases at thrift stores to try and sell on eBay. I am shocked at just how many brand-name clothes are in such good condition at thrift stores! Did you know you can re-sell things like that on eBay? It's pretty cool. For instance, I'm in the middle of selling a beautiful merino wool J. Crew sweater that I purchased at a fill-a-bag for $5 thrift store sale. I got it for next to nothing and am going to be selling it for at least $9.99.

There are so many resources out there to teach noobs like myself how to eBay, if you want to get rid of things from your house, I highly recommend looking into either eBay or Amazon to get started. If you're interested in looking at anything I'm selling, my eBay name is samm_isell.
